A brief introduction
If you enter my Spotify account, you will find a wide variety of 20th and 21st century composers. From the greatest classics like Ligeti, Lutoslawski, Xenakis, or Varèse, to highly influential modern composers like Clara Iannota, Elena Mendoza, or Brian Ferneyhough. Everything is interesting and worth learning from: this is the attitude through which I create my music, always open and influenced by several ideas and aesthetics.
It is precisely in this constant fight between opposing forces where I find the most satisfactory results, as I try to convey the feeling of “controlled instability” through the evolution of complex sound objects.

Biography
Born in 1998 in Valencia (Spain), Alfran García Vaquero studied Composition in the Music Conservatory “Joaquin Rodrigo” of Valencia with Voro García, where he graduated in 2021 with the Extraordinary Prize in Composition. In 2023 he completed his masters in the Mozarteum under Johannes Maria Staud and Laure M. Hiendl, where he took a particular interest in performance, electroacoustic, and mixed music. During his studies, he attended several masterclasses and seminars by notorious composers and performers, such as Yan Maresz, Frauke Aulbert, Elena Mendoza, Alberto Posadas, Ricardo Capellino, Santiago Díez Fischer, Pierluigi Billone, Clemens Gadenstätter…
He has worked with numerous ensembles and orchestras, such as the Jove Orquesta de la Generalitat Valenciana, Ensemble Recherche, Ensemble NAMES, Vocal Ensemble Les Métaboles, or Ensemble Multilatérale, amongst others; and his music has been performed in several concerts and festivals, such as the Festival ENSEMS in Valencia, or the CROSSROADS Festival in Salzburg. Furthermore, he has participated in several transdisciplinary projects, such as Music and Science: Quantum Harmony (2021), SHIFT KV594 (2023), or Composer’s LAB (2023).
